A glorious sunny day

Nerine bowdenii 'Marnie Rogerson'

Morning light on Salvia 'Indigo Spires', Dahlia 'Mount Noddy' and Miscanthus sinensis 'Yakushima Dwarf'
After a long gloomy period the weather has changed, giving us a warm and glowing autumn day in which the autumnal flowers really sang. We are just hoping that the clear starry skies that are following it do not bring a frost.

Crocus banaticus 'Snowdrift'

Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Rosa Sieger'

Kniphofia 'Cool Knip'

Grasses with Argyranthemum 'Jamaica Primrose' and Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff'

Pelargonium 'Bright Red Blizzard'

The neighbours.

What a smashing clear pink bowdenii!

John what is the red spikey in front of the grass in the mddle photo?

Love the Cool Khip. Hope those neighbors are well-behaved.

  4. Looks like the 'red spikey' could be salvia confertiflora to me

  6. I love kniphofia! I planted some new ones this year but they got attacked pretty early on :( It was end of season so they were pretty cheap but still disappointing. Yours looks good!

  7. Hi John,

As always, your photos are amazing but two of them stood out for me: the Crocus banaticus and the grazing “neighbours”.

The Crocus banaticus 'Snowdrift' attracted my attention because all the Crocus banaticus I’ve ever seen were purplish blue or lavender not whiter and your neighborhood seems to be populated with much more interesting critters than mine.
