What marvelous plants they are! The pure kiusianums have never failed here in Nova Scotia. The hybrids - though labelled as kiusianums - were prone to bark-split as young rooted cuttings but they gradually improved. R. kisuianum 'Fugen-no tsuki' as I recall is one of the taller ones, about chin height the last time I looked. She tells me that they hold the National Collection of Rhododendron, as I am sure you know.
