It had to be prised out of the pot by cutting the plastic with secateurs, then transferring the bulb into a larger pot with new soil. It took off like crazy, flowered within a week, with the blooms looking like miniature Australian native Corea. Its leaves are now the size of lambs ears grouped in fours on three stems, and it is an amazing centre piece on my deck table. It seems to have the same properties as cyclamen, with the corm left to dry out after the foliage has dropped off - until next season when it coomes to life again.
